Geothermal Training
Comprehensive technical course to both the experienced geothermal technician as well as the beginning novice.
Description
This course is designed from the ground-up to provide a comprehensive technical course to both the experienced geothermal technician as well as the beginning novice. Constructed around a true-to-life sample house; the class is led through load-sizing criteria for estimation purposes, application information for closed-loop or open-loop systems, system selection based on building load(s), and four (4) separate ground loop designs (2 horizontal, 2 vertical) - all based specifically to the regional climate of the field training. Additionally, installation criteria is examined - with special emphasis on closed-loop heat-exchanger installation, open-loop water quality standards & disposal of product water, piping strategies, and building penetration. Specific Bard model applications are explored for the GeoTecTM Upflow, Geo-TrioTM Modular, and the Geo-DeltaTM Water-to-Water systems. Flow Center/Pump sizing calculations, flush (purge) cart construction and operation, "pressurized-vs-nonpressurized" systems, and many other topics are explored. Truly, a one-stop-training-resource for the dedicated geothermal professional.
